Age Requirement

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer here. Volunteers under 18 years old are permitted to work on the construction site, but must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

Possible Work Projects

Rebuilding the interiors of gutted homes including everything from drywall to finish painting.

Skills Needed

All skills are welcome. It would be beneficial to have a few skilled adults in your group, but is not required. A local construction coordinator will assign work projects to match your skill sets.

Accommodations and Meals

Females: cots located in two rooms. Males: bunk beds located in multiple rooms

Food is included in the registration fee. Hot meals are prepared by the staff with volunteer assistance on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Continental style, cold breakfasts are provided each day. Fixing are provided for preparing a brown bag lunch.

Cost

The registration fee of $125 per week per individual, payable to the local recovery organization. Your group is responsible for all costs associated with your trip. World Renew DRS does not charge for arranging group mission trips.

Tools and Materials

Tools and materials are provided, but we encourage teams to bring tools if they are driving and have room to bring them. As a minimum, bring your personal items: tape measure, utility knife, hammer, pencil, tool belt, and gloves.
