Mangkhut made landfall in the early hours of Saturday, September 15. With wind gusts of over 250km/h, Mangkhut is a category 5 storm and has caused significant devastation. The risk of landslides, flooding, and wind damage, may leave millions in need of humanitarian assistance.

Please pray for the safety of the millions that prepare for one of the strongest storms of the year, and pray that damage would be limited. World Renew is closely monitoring the situation in the coming days and is prepared to respond.

World Renew has worked closely with the Christian Reformed Church of the Philippines for many years, and has already been in touch with churches in communities that may be affected by Mangkhut. Through these local churches, World Renew will be able to respond quickly to families in need. While the extent of need will not be known for several days, we ask that you consider generously donating to the “International Rapid Response Fund” today so that we will be able to respond to the needs as soon as possible.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
