Why Give?

Sisters Alma and Phyllis wanted to share the story behind their father Gerrit’s decision to leave a gift to World Renew in his will: “Gerrit and our mother Elisabeth volunteered with CRWRC/World Renew for many years. They made many friends among the volunteer crews and in the regions where they served.

Gerrit and Elisabeth lived their commitment to Christian service every day of their adult lives. They served as great role models for their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are all community volunteers and we all share a value around support for the most vulnerable people in our community.

How to give.

Planned gifts to World Renew can be made through our planned giving partner organisations, Christian Stewardship Services or Link Charity Canada Inc. They have expert financial planners who share our love of the gospel and our hope for the world. In Christian Stewardship Services and Link Charity, many World Renew ministry supporters have found the wisdom and care they are looking for, as they seek to create an enduring impact in the name of Jesus.

When you meet with a Christian Stewardship Services or Link Charity gift planner through World Renew, you can ask questions and make decisions about the long-term impact of your resources. And because of our unique partnerships with the organisations, this no-obligation service is available for free to our ministry partners. We want you to feel confident about the planned giving decisions you need to make, and we desire to make that decision process as easy and clear as possible.

A Gift in Your Will
Estate

Plan for the future with World Renew by allotting a portion of your estate to battle hunger, remedy injustice, and respond to poverty. When you give a gift in your will to World Renew, you become part of the Joseph Stewards community, a dedicated gathering of World Renew supporters.

The Gift that Pays You Income
Charitable Gift Annuities

A charitable gift annuity will provide you with a lifelong pension while also creating a planned gift for World Renew. This lifelong income provides you with consistent annual payments that never change for the duration of your life. Any remaining funds at the end of your life are distributed to World Renew and other charities you may have selected.

Donor Advised Funds
A simple alternative to setting up a foundation

Have you been considering opening a family or giving group foundation and don’t know where to start? Through a Donor Advised Fund you can set up an investment fund through Christian Stewardship Services or Link Charity, and make regular gifts to your favourite charities for a set period of time – or generations to come! Any deposits you make into the account receive a donation receipt in the year of the gift. You are free to add funds to the account as you see fit. It’s like being the CEO of a small ‘foundation’ without all the expense.
