World Renew has been working in South Sudan since 2010.
In July 2011, South Sudan became independent, and it remains the world’s newest country; before that there were many years of civil war. In December 2013, another civil war broke out and its impact is still being felt in all regions of the country. Communities face many challenges because the recovery is being continually hampered by conflict. Christian organizations, humanitarian groups, and churches are stepping in to provide help and emergency response.
