2024-2025 Tax Receipt Changes
If you made a donation in 2024, you can expect to receive a consolidated tax receipt in the mail in February, unless you have made special arrangements previously.
How did the Canada Post strike affect things?
Giving to World Renew and many other charities was adversely affected by the Canada Post strike. The Government of Canada, has confirmed that you can use the tax receipt for any donations made in January or February 2025 for your 2024 or 2025 tax return—similar to the RRSP contribution system.
We will try and keep this information up to date, and invite you to read the latest from the CRA about the extended donations.
We will be sending out a second tax receipt in March for January and February of 2025. Please keep this for your tax records.
